Referral Program

Email Header.jpg

Do you want to know what the backbone of my business is?

It’s not IG.

It’s not FB. (Ewww David!)

It is not emails.

It is my past clients. The number 1 way that I have gotten new leads or new clients is by referrals aka word of mouth. Looking back over my books, I can trace each client to a past client.

Y’all! It really does mean so much to small business owners when you spread the good word. When you talk us up it is like currency.

That is why I have created my REFERRAL PROGRAM. I want to celebrate my biggest fans and THANK them for their support.

It is super easy. Like, WAY easy! Ready…

Tell your friends about me and my work.

That’s it. Whether you are a client or not. All you have to do is tell 3 friends about my work.

If they book with me, that is when the goodies drop!!

I have sent Gift cards to Amazon, gift cards to my studio, even cold hard cash.

But in all seriousness, referrals really do keep my business afloat.

And Thank you, to those reading this. Thank you for your support. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for helping me reach my dreams.

Angie - {Greensboro Personal Branding}

Here is the thing about Angie’s profession: she has to connect to her clients. Period. End of sentence.

As a Doula she is with her clients on one of the most important days of their lives. But the connection starts WAY before then. She meets with her clients several times to discuss their needs, their desires for a birth plan, their fears, their dreams. She coaches them, encourages them, guides them long before their sweet babies make their grand entrance.

Angie came to me when it was time to update her website, Facebook profile, and Instagram profile. She wanted to convey the right message to potential clients, to show them what she can do. In other words she wanted to connect with them before ever meeting them. So we set up a Personal Branding session. We did new Headshots in my studio. A few days later I was in the room documenting a meeting with her clients. I could barely remember to take pictures because I was so engrossed in what she was teaching them.

We made some magic.

Chandra

Chandra came in for a contemporary portrait session.

I took 3 pictures of her and showed the back of the camera.

{Gasps} “That’s not me! I look so good!”

I assured her it absolutely was her and that all I did was showed her how to pose. She was doing the rest.

Being able to talk to my clients before a photo shoot is imperative. We discuss outfits, makeup, the look, and finally how my clients can feel most comfortable.

How do you dream of being photographed?

Ivy

It is so important for me to talk to my Seniors about their outfits. During our style consultation I ask them what they love, what they feel comfortable in, and what they feel amazing in. They pick out 4-5 outfits. We discuss jewelry, hair and make up. I don’t want them to be embarrassed about their outfit choices 5 years from now.

Ivy picked outfits that totally made her feel amazing. And when you feel amazing, you look amazing.

And then of course we had to use her dance recital costume for a super edgy, contemporary look.

Salina {Greensboro Triad Photographer}

I really feel bad for the Class of 2020. High School, College, Middle School, etc. Even my own little Kindergartner missed out on an end of the year celebration.

So when Salina told me she missed out on all of the fun end of year excitement most Seniors get to enjoy, I knew I had to make her portrait session extra special.

In her style consultation we talked about choosing outfits that are timeless and classic. You certainly don’t want to regret the look you decided to go for which is totally outdated now.

She totally knocked it out of the park.

Center Stage

I have known Macy for a good long while. She used to dance at the same dance studio as my daughter. She was absolutely made for ballet. She has grace and poise. But when she came to my studio it was all fashion, all day long!!

In our pre-consultation, we discussed outfits, makeup, jewelry, etc. I stressed to her the importance of looking amazing but also looking like herself.

I think she nailed it!

My goal in any session is to make you feel comfortable, help you look amazing and produce portraits that you are going to love.

Pandora Unleashed

I knew as she lugged her suitcase up the stairs to my studio that this session would be a total experience. So I opened my Pandora app and played the Fleetwood Mac list. It was the perfect mood music for our session.

Bridget

The thing I love about Bridget’s session is that we got to focus on her. This was her first portrait session since her Senior year of high school. She is a mother of four, a supportive wife and a loyal sister. But for those few hours we got to focus on shining a light on her beauty, her strength, her power.

We got to focus on her.

Just a mom...

When I talk to women about what I do and what type of photography I specialize in, the reactions are usually the same:

“Oh No. Not me”

“I just want some of the kids.”

“I need to lose 10 (15, 10, 25, 30, etc.) more pounds”

“What am I going to do with pictures of me?”

“I don’t have anything to wear”

But the one that hits me in the gut is this one:

“I’M JUST A MOM.”

There is no such thing as JUST a mom.

You are a leader, a teacher, a nurse, a friend, a chef, a companion, a confidant, the CEO, …

I can go on and on…

Women, sisters, friends, hear me now: you are so much more than any title I can list. You are beautifully created, wonderfully made. You are important.

You are deserving. You are enough.

Be you.

Finally...

I had this vision in my head, a project I wanted to bring to fruition. My Great-Aunt Tinkum has been a powerful force in my life. She is fun, energetic, and always quick with a compliment. Simply put, I love her. She has always been classic and regal and I wanted to finally capture her in a portrait. She is in her 80s and lives on her family farm back home in Lenoir County. I called her and her daughter, Tammy to talk about the session, set a date and discuss outfits. The day of the session I drove down the old familiar road to the land that I love. I set up my equipment in one of the spare rooms and we made magic. I posed Aunt Tinkum every step of the way. I wanted to bring out her beauty, her personality. I wanted to show the world who she truly is.

When the session was over she called her daughter and just raved about how much fun she had and how beautiful she felt.

As I was packing up I hugged my Uncle Ernie and said, “Thanks for letting me borrow your girl!” He winked at me and said, “Anytime. Isn’t she pretty?” Yes…Yes she is.

Tinkum-GreensboroPortrait-32.jpg

I printed my favorite images from the session and put them in beautiful mats. I sent them to my Aunt Tinkum and she just loved them. But the best phone call came from her daughter Tammy. She called to tell me what a treasure I had created for her. Even when her mom is gone she will always have these portraits and will hold them close to her heart.

That is the best service I can give…
